RWE Health & Safety team building workshop

RWE AG is a leading German multinational energy company headquartered in Essen, with a significant presence across Europe, the United States, and the Asia-Pacific region.
Established in 1898, RWE has evolved from a traditional utility into a major player in the global renewable energy sector.
I recently had the privilege of facilitating at RWE Offshore’s inaugural hashtag#WeCare Award Initiative in Amsterdam, championed by Karin Borg, Director of HSSE & Asset
Risk. Where I witnessed a global company prioritise wellbeing, mental health, and team connection in such a remarkable way.
I absolutely loved holding my workshop, where I facilitated embodiment and connection practices like Qi Gong and singing. The team’s openness to explore, share, play, laugh, sing and connect was incredible and I felt deeply humbled hearing this reflection: “at the start we were a group of individuals, by the end we felt like a team.” Director Julian Garnsey
We began with simple Qi Gong exercises designed to help relax the team. These are easy to learn and fantastic in supporting the letting go of stress or anxiety enabling individuals to show up with more presence and resilience.
When then moved into song, playing with melody and harmony and weaving together a mash up of Simply The Best, Every Breath You Take and Stand By Me. Songs I had chosen for the lyrically content which matched so well with the theme of the event. It was so
wonderful witnessing the effervescent joy in the room.
“Tallulah brought us together emotionally. With an extraordinary brave performance and your beautiful voice, you created a sense of belonging and psychological safety. Moreover, you brought us all a little closer to ourselves. Thank you.”
Karin Borg Director Of Health & Safety RWE
In addition to meet a female director with such authority, vision, humility, humour and kindness was just amazing and I left feeling so inspired knowing that there are women, such as Karin, at this level within organisations not only embodying these qualities but also holding wellbeing, mental health and connection as core values.
It was also so wonderful witnessing the outstanding support behind this initiative from other Directors & Board Members at RWE, including Directors: Ben Freeman, Danielle Lane, Julian Garnsey, Mikkel H-K, Jens Bøgsted Orfelt, and COO Thomas Michel. The same
qualities I admired in Karin were echoed through them and the entire Health & Safety Team, reflecting a shared commitment to fostering a culture of care and connection.
It was not only a huge amount of fun but also deeply meaningful to celebrate both the 107 entries and the winners from each hashtag#WeCare category. I was also profoundly touched by each Directors’ heartfelt introduction and the winners’ acceptance speeches,
all of which demonstrated to me a remarkable kindness, honesty, and vulnerability.
This event left me inspired and hopeful, knowing that initiatives like hashtag#WeCare are setting a powerful precedent for workplace wellbeing and connection.
Thank you, RWE Health & Safety Team, for the opportunity to be part of this incredible event x
